Brings a new month… August. Oh, August.

Yesterday, Sylvia Plath was on my mind with her quote:

August rain: the best of the summer gone, and the new fall not yet born. The odd uneven time.

Saturday it “felt and smelled like rain” any minute for most of the day… but that rain held off until late at night. Sunday was a very grey and rainy day. Thunder rumbling and rain spattering against the windows. Quite a delightful day with all that August rain. Oh, and I do love how Sylvia (like me) has her eye on fall.

I am almost done with my second time through Whistler and I love it even more this time. AND! Up next will be my second reading/listening (I will pair them together this time) of John of John.

Dear Friends… I don’t believe there is a better way to spend the odd uneven time of August than lingering with books I have read and loved deeply. I believe that I will spend the rest of the month revisiting some dear friends. August is a very good month to be a bit nostalgic… don’t you think?

I will see you all back here on Wednesday. Happy Monday everyone!
