A few days ago I walked along the edge of the lake and was treated to the crunch and rustle of leaves with each step I made. The acoustics of this season are different and all sounds, no matter how hushed, are as crisp as autumn air. Eric Sloane
No lakes here, but there the crunch and rustle of leaves make walking a treat for the ears. Have a beautiful Sunday!
Crunching leaves are the best! Happy Sunday!
I luv the sound of crunching leaves…and I can almost hear those in your photo. A sunny day for us today, albeit cold-ish, so for sure a walk and a few crunches are on the agenda.
Happy Sunday to you!
Cheers~
Crunchy leaves are perfect. We have wet and soggy leaves here.
I’m in awe that November has passed by so quickly. I hope the rest of winter goes by fast, too.
I remember telling my grandmother I thought this was a lonely sound while we were walking through the woods, and she told me she imagined the leaves were talking to each other with “excited rustling and susurration”. Thanks for recalling this lovely memory for me!
That looks like a spot in my yard! 😉
You captured November in a photo! Now it’s on to greenery and twinkle lights!
I love the sound of leaves crunching under my feet!
I love the sound of crunching leaves! One of the best days of the year generally 🙂
