Happy Thursday everyone! (and it is especially happy here! Yesterday, the post office delivered the loveliest of packages for me!
Last month, Bridget had a fun Christmas in July Give Away on her blog and I was one of the lucky recipients! It is almost as if this package was put together just for me, because it is simply perfect!
Thing One:
Alabama Stitch Book by Natalie Chanin! Oh, my! I got lost looking through this yesterday afternoon! It is chock full of ideas and inspiration!
Thing Two:
AVFKW’s Endless Summer Tunic! PERFECT! And, yes… the idea of Endless Summer is just such a grand idea! I am pondering fabrics this morning and can’t wait to stitch this up! (Also… NO DARTS! Ha!)
Thing Three:
Milk + Honey® Lotion Bar…wow! This is my first experience with a lotion bar and how on earth can that be true! Where has this been all my life! This is the perfect balm for my garden-worn hands! It is just the right amount of moisture and does not feel tacky or sticky at all!
Thank you so much, Bridget, for this amazing package of goodies!
Want to see more lists? Head on over to Carole’s!
Oh how exciting! I *love* lotion bars. Do I remember to use them all of the time? Not so much. Doesn’t mean I don’t love them! That book looks amazing and the pattern? Very nice!!!
That’s a great package! I bookmarked that pattern, looks like a lovely tunic to make. And lotion bars? How clever!
You are such a lucky duck!
I have been using a Bar Maids Lo-Lo Bar for a couple of years now (heard about them from the Knitmore Girls). They are the best. I keep a small one in my purse, one in my work desk, and one next to my bed. They save my hands in the winter, when they get really dry from the cold and from washing my hands often.
What a great package!! Can’t wait to see the tunic you make.
It’s always exciting to receive a wonderful gift, and this one is indeed perfect for you. (Bridget was also clever to include three things for a ToT post!) I’m looking forward to seeing the tunic you sew.
Oh, how fun!! The book is fabulous, of course, as is the Endless Summer Tunic!! You are going to LOVE that pattern. I actually made mine from some AC jersey that I over-dyed in indigo. I’m reminded that I need to adjust the pocket placement on that piece!
Congrats on the win. That truly WAS three lovely things. Enjoy!
I’ve never used a lotion bar either and now I’m intrigued!
What a fun, fun prize package! And ALL of the Alabama Chanin books are worth having in your stitching library! (Now that you’ve caught the bug . . . ) That looks like a great tunic! And lotion bars. . . I’ve not tried one, but now I want to. 🙂
Fun win. Alabama stitch count looks GOOD!!!
Oh I’m so glad that it all arrived safely and that you are happy with everything! I really like the lotion bars, some better than others – but this is one of the good ones.
Thanks for participating in Christmas in July, and happy making!
How fun to get an unexpected package in the mail. I heard someone else mention The Endless Summer Tunic pattern. It is very pretty and looks like it has several possibilities. I imagine some sewist has lengthened it to make a dress. Have fun with your goodies.
What an awesome package! seriously, it looks perfect! can’t wait to see what you make 🙂 (and oh my, I didn’t know AVFKW had patterns!)
I’m jealous! What a delight! Enjoy! Enjoy!
Cheers~
