I discovered this lovely blog by accident last week, thanks to one of Carole’s 10 on Tuesday participants.
Wednesday’s are for Yarn Along and it never ceases to amaze me how much good stuff lives on the internet that I do not know about!
All I can say is that you will find lots of good on Ginny’s blog if you poke around a bit. Her photography is so beautiful and inspiring.
I am hoping that Yarn Along will help me to get my knitting back on track, since the BangOutASweater phenomena has apparently derailed my knitting mojo. And by derailed I mean that all my current projects are in strong consideration for the Frog Pond because I have lost that loving feeling for every last one of them. In an attempt to avoid that rash decision, I have pulled out this long forgotten WIP in a Herculean effort to get it back on track. Anne Hanson is always good for what ails you, and if anyone can revive your knitting mojo, it is her! Wish me luck as I channel Anne today!
It seems that a bug is making its way through our house, so today there will be a lot of nothing being accomplished.
Netflix and knitting are on my schedule today, how about yours?
I have been inspired to join the cool kids in NaBloPoMo. I know! What on earth am I thinking?!?
However, I think I have a good plan. I have put together a calendar of the month with a blog plan for the days.
What?!? A plan for your blog?
In any case, this will give me a good start on ending the year well and a good plan for beginning 2016, which sadly gets closer and closer with every passing day.
And, so it begins: Happy November 1st, Gentle Reader, and welcome to NaBloPoMo at Casa del KatKnits, and after a very busy Sunday morning I think it is time to be still and enjoy the quietness of what remains of the weekend with a bit of knitting and a movie. I hope your weekend was filled with a good balance of activity and stillness. If not, there is still some time to correct that before Monday arrives!
I am great at starting projects, but not so great at finishing them. Recently I completed two projects; one a very fun mystery-knit-along which I started last year but moving got in the way of its completion. The other, I am sad to say, had been languishing on the needles for a good number of years.
First up is Germinate – a design by Kirsten Kapur the creative mind of Through the Loops.
I really enjoyed this pattern a tremendous amount. It is a very well written pattern and an incredibly striking design. It was the first pattern I have completed by TTL but it will not be my last!
