Well, Gentle Readers, I have survived the second month of Camp Loopy and this month our project needed to remind us of a place we like to be. For me it was an easy pick – I love the shores of Lake Michigan and so I began my search. I found Tincan Knits Estuary quickly and it was even easier to invite Mrs. Crosby along for the trip.

I loved the pattern – again kudos to Tincan Knits. This is my second project I have done for Camp Loopy. Last year I knit the Low Tide Cardigan and loved it so picking another of their patterns was easy.

What was new was my yarn choice – Mrs. Crosby Plays. I selected Satchel, which is a lovely fingering weight single, in the color way “Submarine.” The perfect choice for the pattern – and wonderful to knit with, Mrs. Crosby is indeed the perfect travel companion. I would absolutely knit with one of her yarns again; the color is rich and has depth.

As you can see, pattern and yarn together does indeed look like waves lapping the shores of Lake Michigan, the perfect reminder indeed.

I am well into my August Camp project, but I will tell you all about that next month.

Up next for me this weekend is a little foray into canning – we got half a bushel of Roma tomatoes from the Farmers Market that are destined to become sauce.

Have a great weekend!
