… ushers in a week of praise for air conditioning.
Seriously… most days I could leave the AC, preferring the windows open. But this week… one that includes a seemingly endless heat advisory…. I am thankful for it.
I have been out early for a walk and I have watered all.the.things!
A Monday in which I can delight in laundry in the basement seems not quite right… but delight I will!
I also have some linen I got on sale last week that will soon become a tunic! Sitting at my sewing machine when it is 90°+ seems like the perfect thing!
Stay cool everyone and I will see you back here on Wednesday for some Unraveling!
Tunics! My favorite. Favorite to wear. And…as infrequently as I do so, to sew. Their cut, versatility, simplicity — can’t beat a tunic. Enjoy! (Looking forward to Wednesday!)
That’s pretty much what my week will include – reading, knitting, and stitching in the air conditioning (for which I’m very grateful). I do feel bad for Justin, my BiL, and everyone else who works outside. Enjoy your sewing!
I walked super early this morning and for the rest of the day I am hiding in my house.
Seems like it is going to be a good week to stay inside here too.
I love the Studio Tunic pattern. I’ve made two – one in linen, and one in a lightweight quilt cotton. I’m sure I’ll end up with more at some point!
I have thought about hiding out in my basement as well — it is the coolest place in the house! That tunic is adorable and should be fun to make.
That heat is headed our way tomorrow and I am not excited about it at all!
Hope you stayed cool. Summer has finally arrived here and I’m loving it.
