Rage knitting is becoming a thing, thanks to the efforts of the current regime in the White House. That rage makes seed stitch just fly and the collar of my Vodka Lemonade is done, and I am working my way though the raglan increases.
It’s a good thing there is no shortage of knitting projects here, because the rage is not relenting for the atrocities being done to migrating families by this nation. I will be casting on KK’s MKAL shawl today as well. And, despite the rage, each stitch I knit holds my meditations for these families. The stitches also are filled with hope because despite what the Orange Idiot and his compatriots do, humanity has not died. It is evident in all the organizations that are mobilizing to help these families, it is evident in the funds being raised to help the victims, and it is evident when people go out in the night to stand with these victims.
Are you rage knitting too? How about a link or two in case you need a new pattern to start?
Rose Spring Cardigan… lovely shoulder shaping, and interesting details!
Selja makes me think my summer linen knitting is not over yet!
I LOVE Merry Bear!
And, finally…Saunders Poncho Mini
That is all I have this week. I am off to get some blood work done as a precursor for a doctor visit next week. Steve is taking a vacation day, so a mini staycation is in store for us! Have a great weekend and I will see you all back here on Monday!
I feel hopeless and super sad. Luckily, I peel myself off of the news and focus on knitting and that makes me feel a bit happier 🙂
Rage knitting is an excellent name for it. If there’s not much we can do, at least we can channel the rage into something productive. I think I’ll do some rage knitting this weekend.
Have a great weekend!
Have a great weekend, Kat!
I try to keep rage out of my knitting, but this situation is just too heartless and horrendous; donations have been made to RAICES. He needs to get a heart and Melania needs to take off that terrible and offensive jacket.
Knitting does seem like a productive way to channel the good, caring and thoughtful feelings … I find a lot of comfort in the knits and purls. Have a great weekend, my friend!
I’m knitting up a storm, too. Hats, cowls, and scarves for the homeless.
Rage knitting is definitely a thing. Not sure what I’d do without it. Though I’m going to say that in the past week , even “escapes” like flicking through instagram and Ravelry are not doing it for me.
I’ve taken a mini staycation to decompress. My knitting seems to have gone a bit sideways so I’m trying to be kind to it until I can get it all sorted out.
Oh that merry bear!! Im in love
